Roma Commerce and Tourism is a not for profit organisation committed to provide networking opportunities, advocacy, information and promotional initiatives for the current and future business community.

We aim to increase confidence, knowledge and support for businesses in Roma to build a sustainable local economy.

The purpose of this section is to help businesses find and apply for opportunities from the Government and the Oil & Gas Sectors, encouraging local businesses to apply and be used for small, medium and large projects and supply contracts.

Last night our BEP session explored real workforce solutions, with a focus on how immigration can support local businesses in today’s challenging labour market.

Attendees walked away with greater confidence and a step-by-step pathway to explore immigration as a viable workforce solution.

Roma Commerce and Tourism (RCAT) is a membership-based organisation representing and advancing the interests of local business, industry and commerce. Our focus is on supporting a sustainable local economy and fostering a vibrant, liveable community.

RCAT delivers a dynamic annual calendar of networking, educational and advocacy initiatives that connect, strengthen and champion our business community.

About the Role
This flexible and varied position (12-15hrs per week) plays an important role in strengthening RCAT’s membership base and supporting the delivery of key projects and events.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, with a primary focus on growing membership numbers and enhancing member engagement to ensure members are maximising the value of their involvement with RCAT.

Key Responsibilities
• Membership administration and database management
• Membership promotion, engagement and growth
• Supporting event coordination and networking
• Assistance with project coordination as required
• General organisational support to the General Manager and Committee

About You
You are organised, proactive and passionate about supporting local business. You enjoy building relationships and working both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
Ideally, you will demonstrate:
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft and Xero (or similar accounting software)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• The ability to manage your time effectively and work autonomously
• A current Blue Card or the ability to obtain one
• Current drivers licence

Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to positioning Roma as a sustainable economy within a vibrant and thriving business community.
